How I Work

Edinburgh based sport psychologist and performance coach, working with people to overcome their anxiety and demons and become more confident and perform at their best.

My work is founded on a simple, powerful belief: you are the expert in your own life.

My role is not to provide prescriptive answers, but to act as your dedicated thinking partner, creating a space where your own wisdom can emerge with clarity.

Our partnership is built on the following principles:

1 – A Collaborative Dialogue

This is a process we build together. I don’t position myself as the distant expert; consider me a teammate here to help you make sense of your landscape. I bring powerful questions and a framework grounded in psychology; you bring your unique context, experience, and goals. Together, we find the way forward.

2 – A Focus on What’s Real for You

From the outset, our focus is on your reality. We’ll get clear on what you want to achieve and what you feel is most important for us to explore. While I may offer suggestions or perspectives, the process is always guided by your needs and what you find most beneficial.

3 – An Adaptable, Client-Led Process

Your engagement is crucial. I’ll actively seek your feedback: Are we working in a way that suits you? Does this approach feel right? Your answers will guide our work, ensuring our time together is focused, productive, and always aligned with what will help you make meaningful progress.

4 – An Open and Honest Exchange

Throughout our sessions, I’m open to any ideas you bring to the table, and I’ll share my thoughts as well. This isn’t about me having a single truth. It’s about a robust, honest conversation where, as partners, we can unlock insights and build momentum toward your goals.

Shall we have a conversation?
