Sport Psychology

Edinburgh based sport psychologist and performance coach, working with people to overcome their anxiety and demons and become more confident and perform at their best.

Overview

Performance is More Than a Mind Game. It’s a Human Experience.

As an athlete, coach, or performer, you know the battle isn’t just with your opponent; it’s with your own nerves, self-doubt, and the immense pressure to deliver. You might be struggling with a performance plateau or finding it hard to stay motivated when things get tough.

My role as a Chartered Sport Psychologist isn’t to “spoon-feed” you quick fixes or mental tricks. My approach is a collaborative partnership designed to help you tap into your own expertise.

Together, we create a space for an honest dialogue about what’s really going on. We move beyond just treating symptoms to understand the whole picture—your unique strengths, your core values, and the mindset that underpins your performance.

This is a partnership to help you:

  • Build Authentic Confidence: Not by just silencing self-doubt, but by understanding its roots and building a grounded belief in your abilities and preparation.
  • Navigate Performance Pressure: Learn to work with, rather than against, anxiety and nerves, turning that energy into focused, effective action.
  • Develop Sustainable Motivation: Reconnect with your “why”—the deep-seated reasons you love your sport—to fuel your focus through the highs and lows of training and competition.
  • Foster True Mental Resilience: Develop the capacity to learn from setbacks, manage your inner world with greater awareness, and show up as your most effective self, both in and out of the performance arena.

My work is to be your thinking partner. I bring a deep understanding of psychology; you bring the expertise of being you. Together, we co-create strategies that are not only effective but are uniquely right for you.
